style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even the eggs are more expensive than they used to be two years ago.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The positive thing is that Sri Lanka continues to have some of the cheapest yet healthiest food in the area.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can get muscles using appropriate decisions without going to the extent of spending money out of your pocket.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This book applies to anyone who trains frequently and who desires genuine outcomes with no need to spend a lot of money on a diet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Protein Intake: The Real Deal<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To gain muscle, the amount of protein required by your body is about 1.6-2.2 grams per gram daily, considering your body weight, which is measured in kilograms.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At 65 kg, that would be about 104 to 143 grams of protein a day.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It does not seem like a lot, yet you do not have to spend money on making upfront purchases of expensive supplements to get to this style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><\/p>\n<p>Eggs: Still the Best Value Protein in the Nation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prices of eggs have increased, but they are still the most affordable source of protein in Sri Lanka.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The complete protein contained in one egg (of all the essential amino acids) has about 6 grams of protein.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A tray of 30 eggs now costs LKR 1,200 to 1,500 and this is approximately LKR 40-50 per egg.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The protein from four eggs per day provides you with 24 grams at about LKR 180 up to LKR 200.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">None of the supplements available in the market is equivalent to that value.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eggs should be the cornerstone of your daily protein consumption, boiled in advance of a workout or scrambled after a workout, or as 400;\">One of the most protein-saturated foods that can be found at the Sri Lankan markets is dried chickpeas, also called kadala.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A 500g bag costs around LKR 250 to LKR 350. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kadala is a good source of protein, with every 100 grams of the cooked food containing approximately 19 grams of protein.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also high in fiber and complex carbohydrates, which means that you will not feel hungry a few hours after eating.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kadala curry is already something having a permanent place on the breakfast table of most Sri Lankan families and thus a little more effort to make it more properly a part of your muscle-building diet does not need much changing.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare a big pot on Sunday and consume it during the week to save cash, as well as time.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Dried Fish: Inexpensive, Shelf-Stable, and Rich in Protein<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The type of dried fish in Umbalakada and others is rich in proteins and is very cheap to prepare in terms of price per serving.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A rice meal with a small amount added to it provides 15 to 20 grams of <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The approximate cost of a serving of it is approximately LKR 100, depending on the type, and a small bag bought at a market booth every week will last a long 400;\">The <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seafoodwatch.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">yellowfin tuna<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> called kelawalla is a common variety of tuna found at fish markets in Colombo, Negombo, Chilaw and other coastal towns in Sri Lanka.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has approximately 30 grams of protein per 100g of cooked fish at the price of LKR 800 to LKR 1,200 per kilo.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is much cheaper to buy whole fish and cook them at home than to buy pre-cut fish in the supermarkets.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Much easier options, such as ambu thiyal or a light white curry, are easy to prepare and rich in proteins and can be easily included in the Sri Lankan cooking plan.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fish market provides a good source of protein and it does not cost a fortune once per week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Carbohydrates That Will Help Your Training<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sri Lankan muscle-building diet is made up of red rice.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is more fiber-rich and contains more micronutrients than white rice, has a low glycemic index, and gives a consistent energy source throughout the day without the blood sugar spike that refined carbohydrates cause.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 5kg bag will cost somewhere between LKR 900 and LKR 1,100.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another good source of carbohydrate is <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/23522794\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>kurakkan or finger millet<\/strong>.<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is very calcium and fiber-rich and is usually consumed as a breakfast meal, kuru karakan roti.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is cheap and feasible at approximately LKR 200\/500g of flour.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These carbs make your workouts and help your body recover after the training sessions.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with dried fish and a vegetable curry is a meal at lunch.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About LKR 160 will buy you dinner consisting of <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/examine.com\/guides\/protein-intake\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">kadala <\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">curry and two plain rotis.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LKR 80 or less is a mid-day snack of a banana or a small piece of ripe papaya.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its daily price amounts to around LKR 640.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plan is nutritional in the sense that it supplies approximately 100 to 120 grams of protein, which is sufficient to engage in moderate and regular training without the addition of supplements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><br \/>\nWhat to Skip and Why<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of using imported protein supplements and packaged protein bars, use local foods that can achieve the same outcome at a very small price.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the Sri Lankan-branded protein shakes are also not priced well in regard to the protein value per serving.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check the smack down on the label and then divide the cost <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/health-news\/how-much-protein-per-day-build-muscle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">per gram of protein <\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and purchase anything.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A bag of kadala, a tray of eggs, and fresh fish bought twice a week will get your body going more than any expensive supplement.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is as simple as eating the right local food on a regular basis, training, getting enough sleep, and not wasting
